With the goal of providing the right care by the right person in the right setting, Cook Children's Home Health offers orthotic and prosthetic services. Whether outpatient at our office or in our numerous clinic settings, we strive to give our pediatric patients the best orthotic and prosthetic care.
When your child requires orthotics or prosthetics, our team is focused not only on making sure the fit is comfortable, but also the visit. Custom fabrications and modifications are done on site, in our own fabrication lab, to increase quality and decrease wait time.
Services are provided by specially licensed and/or certified orthotists and prosthetists. Our veteran staff members have more than 13 years of experience each and have extensive knowledge of pediatrics.

Meet Our Staff
Nitin Bhanti, CO, LPO
Licensed Certified Orthotist, Prosthetist
Nitin has over 13 years of experience, working with adult, geriatric and pediatric patient populations. He specializes in cranial remolding orthoses, lower extremity orthotics and various spinal bracing systems. Whille Nitin completed his undergraduate education with a degree in psychology, he also pursued his orthotics degree at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and a prosthetics degree through the University of Hartford/Newington program. In 2010, Nitin started his pediatric journey during his residency at New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, Columbia University Medical Center. Prior to joining Cook Children's, he enjoyed working in education at UT Southwestern Medical Center and at both Children's Health and Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he served as a faculty associate and inpatient orthotist. During his free time, Nitin enjoys spending time with his wife, two children and their two dogs. He also enjoys recreational ice hockey.
Alexander specializes in cranial remolding orthoses, lower and upper limb orthotics, lower limb prosthetics, ankle foot orthoses (AFO) and foot orthoses design. He graduated from Baylor College of Medicine with a master's in orthotics and prosthetics. Boehme's goal is to ensure that every patient receives the best possible device for his or her condition.
John French, LCO
John has more than three decades of orthotic and prosthetic experience, including management, pediatrics, research and education. He was most recently at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, where he taught and practiced orthotics. John has specialized in trauma orthotics at Parkland in Dallas and Children's Medical Center, Dallas. He also worked as an orthotist at Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul, Minn., for several years. French has vast experience in lower and upper extremities and brings a wealth of knowledge to the team.
Deborah Graham, LCPO
Deborah has more than 16 years of orthotic and prosthetic experience, and has spent most of her career treating patients at Cook Children's. Graham specializes in lower extremity orthotics and has expertise in numerous areas pertaining to the orthotic and prosthetic field. For the last three years, she has been a member of the Cook Children's neurology spasticity interdisciplinary team, which evaluates patients with cerebral palsy and other complex disorders that limit movement.
Galen is well versed in various orthotic and prosthetic devices; however, her main interests include lower extremity orthotics, lower extremity prosthetics and exploring new emerging technologies. She graduated with a master's in prosthetics and orthotics from UT Southwestern Medical Center and has a background in kinesiology. Galen is currently a member of several Cook Children's interdisciplinary teams, including neurology, muscular dystrophy and inpatient neurorehabilitation. She enjoys helping at specialized medical camps for kids and lives with her snuggly pup, Archie. She joined Cook Children's in 2013 following her residency in orthotics and prosthetics.
Abbey Meyer, LCPO
Abbey recently joined Cook Children's in 2023 with over five years of pediatric experience. Abbey graduated from UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas with her bachelor's degree in prosthetics and orthotics and completed her residencies at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, Texas where she focused on scoliosis and lower extremity orthotics. Abbey gained a passion for her career through her personal experience with scoliosis and wearing an orthosis as an adolescent. In her free time, Abbey enjoys anything outdoors, reading and spending time with her husband and three children.
Lisa has a passion for orthotics and prosthetics and is excited to work with and help patients who have a wide range of diagnoses and devices. Her special interests are biomechanics, gait and learning from diverse experiences. She has a Master's degree in prosthetics and orthotics from the University of Pittsburgh and also has a background in kinesiology and physics. She joined Cook Children's in 2022 after completing both her orthotic and prosthetic residencies at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
Alicia is well versed in various orthotic devices and her main interests include cranial remodeling helmets and lower extremity orthotics. Along with a background in mechanical engineering, Alicia graduated from UT Southwestern Medical Center with a master's in prosthetics and orthotics. She joined the Cook Children's team in 2016 following her orthotics residency at UT Southwestern.

Referrals may be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. After hours, an answering service will connect referring physicians or clinicians to the on-call nurse
