Inpatient Orthotic Care
Cook Children's Orthotics and Prosthetics team is just a phone call away to help inpatients at Cook Children's Medical Center. We can provide necessary orthotic devices with a quick turnaround time. We often see patients for acute injuries such as cervical fractures and spinal fractures. We also provide orthotic devices to aide with rehabilitation, such as resting hand splints and AFOs (ankle/foot orthosis). We always have one team member on call for necessary evaluations and deliveries on the weekends. Our team works in collaboration with the medical center staff to take the utmost care of our inpatients while at Cook Children's Medical Center. Once patients go home, our home health team will follow-up by appointment if needed.
